One of the few pleasures over the last 2 years has been watching(reading) this scientist do science. By contrast, Science, Inc pales in comparison. The pandemic has revealed much. Some good, some bad, some flat out evil imho. Walter is a diamond! Thanks buddy.

Please don't relax so early... That science should have at least 10 years until it can go into "production" - official protocols for hospitals and MDs... (((

You may not realize that butyrate is something I mentioned to Dmitry Katz and he ran with it. It activates the niacin receptor. A healthy microbiome can make butyrate from resistant starch in the diet

- the Bubble Tea theory about the early CoV statistics (a graph made into a meme by someone) had merit in my opinion. It was circulating early 2020. https://jenniferdepew.com/resistant-starch%2Fbutyrate

Butyrate - so important it got two webpages - https://jenniferdepew.com/rs%2Fbutyrate-how-much%3F

It reduces inflammation, feeds colon cells, protects them from infection or cancer. Eat more fiber!

Addition (the edit) - yes, spike is directly harmful to endothelial cells and is causing damage - yes SPED is not incorrect. Membranes are so important that they also got two webpages: https://jenniferdepew.com/membranes-%26-inflam-1 and Membranes/glyphosate focused https://jenniferdepew.com/membranes - glyphosate messes up actin/microtubule scaffolding hooks that direct activity in cells.

Love it! Thanks for your contribution. I love niacin, NMN, etc too (Renuebyscience.com).

I have learned so much through all of this about healthy alternatives to Big Pharma.

I found high fiber flour from a place called "Fiber Gourmet" It is really good too. They have crackers and pasta too-I cannot tell the difference between it and regular flour.

Great and very welcome! I add garbanzo bean flour to boost protein ratio in my gluten free mix. It isn't too noticeable of a taste change if the ratio is 1/4 or less to the total flour.

Apparently glyphosate is nasty in ways I didn't even know. I do know it tends to chelate (bind to) many different elements in the body so the body can no longer use them. And it does the same thing to minerals in the land so the plants cannot uptake, or have the building blocks for micronutrients for us to eat.

I eat 2 prunes every morning. I hope that's enough.

Thank you, dear Walter! Your work is so very much appreciated, and I credit it for being a large part of the help I needed to extricate myself from longhaul covid symptoms and relapses (I became a covid longhauler in February 2020, very early on). I began taking Butyrate and IgG to assist with gut microbiome issues, and I felt tremendous benefit from this course of treatment, which helped me become relapse and symptom free. I am now also benefiting from further use of medical grade probiotics, taking this line of thinking to the next level, and this, along with HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) is currently helping to heal the damage I can visually see in my body in my skin. I am grateful to be a 'canary in the coal mine' with the ability to be on the front line of all this, learning with you, dear Walter, and the longhauler community, what we can do to recover and heal.

Besides inflammation, butyrate may help as it works great as a non carb energy source, which may be oxidized in the mitochondria.

The spike protein seems to alter basic cell energetics, and damaging mitochondria.

We have been told that meat and butter are bad, we need to eat our brown oats for breakfast, fruit through the day, keep up blood sugar stable and mix in some veg for the nutrients.

Since everything we are told is complete nonsense, not just once by the way, but for many years, let's turn diet on its head and question that.

If we just eat meat and butter and nothing else, what happens? Our ketones (hydroxybutyrate) go through the roof, our blood sugar drops and remains stable, and we get all the nutrients needed to feed a body because, well, we are eating bodies (there is even sufficient vitamin c in animal blood in beef steak).

I am biased here, because I have followed a 99% meat diet for 5 years, out of desperation I might add because literally every other way of eating (normal, vegetarian, vegan) left me in pain and misery. The result, is that my health is incredible, all my ailments are gone and even my vegan friends have been forced to re-arrange their biases.

The moral of my story is not to eat meat, that's your choice and its a bit boring, but as a matter of strategy moving forward question literally every assumption we have in our minds because the majority of them have been placed there by propaganda, and it appears to me that all of them are false.

The way out of this dystopian world is to find the truth, and spread it.

Thank you Walter for doing your bit.

Would the Butyrate help with long covid sufferers? Or just for the active covid infection?

Expand full comment

Butyrate has helped me--I'm an 'original gangster' (OG) longhauler, first sick back in late January 2020. I took Butyrate daily and also IgG, and am now moving up into professional medical grade probiotics. Yes, this made a huge positive difference for me. As did a number of other things I cover in this video I put together with a friend--and based on quite a lot of the wonderful material Walter shares. Here's a link to the video about what worked for me to become symptom and relapse free from longhaul covid (as well as what China seems to know that they're not saying): https://youtu.be/feqoj_5aRJk

Hi Cynthia! Yes, I have seen your comments here. Thank you for responding. It's my husband who still suffers after his mid-March 2022 (pretty mild) covid infection. I have both Sodium Potassium Butyrate and just Sodium Butyrate. Which would you think best and what type dosage would you think for a 170 pound man of 65 years?

.....Walter, did you see my Comment in your previous posting? As I expressed, would VERY much be interested in SHARING insights at greater length based upon similarly-intensive research, contemplation (if of a SLIGHTLY different nature) into biomagnetic effects related to CV-19 and its 'remedies', instruments for attenuation of both - firmly believe there are VITALLY-important considerations, FUNDAMENTAL concerns which have LONG been institutionally overlooked (of course, likely NOT by ACCIDENT) yet to be discussed.....

I believe you are correct regarding benefits of biomagnetics for recovery from longhaul covid. I first got covid in late January 2020, and by February 2020 was what we now call a covid longhauler. One of my most terrifying symptoms was heart a-fib, which I was able to heal by wearing neodymium magnetic rings on my pinky fingers for hours every day, next to a magnetic generator device (Alex Chiu 'immortality rings' and machine). Long story short, thanks to these magnetic rings, my blood circulation improved throughout my body and the heart a-fib vanished. I'd used these rings previously and recently prior to longhaul covid, and gotten rid of a lifelong afib problem, and was relieved they worked again to clear this afib up for me when it was one of my hundreds (over 200) symptoms of longhaul covid.

Hi, Sue - genuinely appreciate your input - but, I'm FAR more concerned with the related INJURIES than potential treatments (however much I intimately understand how those function as well; certain non-toxic, EXTERNALLY-operating metamaterials such as you note CAN beneficially affect immune-system responses to radiational transmissions (principally of course, microwave-based but also, in the gigahertz & terahertz spectra.....)

Yes, I agree regarding concern about dangerous modern-day environmental insults to our health. I was sickened by a so-called 'smart meter' installed on our home, and I spoke out against them here in California where I live, and had our device removed and an analog meter reinstalled. You are correct that mankind now faces a battery of hazards that our ancestors never had to contend with previously, which do not (yet) have much research to stop the madness of proceeding forward without much precautionary principle in evidence. And our federal government here in the USA seems to rubber stamp and authorize whatever Big Tech says they need, regardless how local communities may feel.

quick google search on butyrate sources

You don’t need to eat foods high in butyrate, you just need to eat foods that feed your gut bacteria. They’re called prebiotics.

Prebiotic foods are rich in dietary fibers. So what you’re looking for are fruit, vegetables, wholegrains, and pulses. Your body can’t digest these fibers, so they travel to your gut where they feed the good bacteria that make butyrate.

Boosting butyrate production isn’t as simple as eating butyrate rich foods. The short-chain fatty acid can be absorbed in the stomach and small intestine, so if you eat butyrate, it wouldn’t travel to your colon where it supports your gut lining and keeps it intact. So, what foods have butyrate boosting powers?

almond apple barley

Chickpea (bengal gram) garlic kiwifruit

maize oat and wheat bran soy

Remember, don’t believe the hype about eating more butter or investing in a butyrate supplement like sodium butyrate. Instead, research shows that consuming prebiotics is an effective and safe way to increase the abundance of butyrate-producing bacteria. as well as other beneficial species. What’s more, improving your gut microbiome with food and increasing butyrate production supports good digestive health.
