First of all: Thank you!
I Tweeted on Twitter, and I will send out a Substack Post twice a year detailing how our Substack is doing. I would like to report that the health of our Substack is robust. We have 12, 491 subscribers!
I can report that, on average, well over a third of our subscribers read each Post. Also, each post is shared on many other platforms/accounts. The best news is that the research is making an impact, with Dr. DeMello recently Tweeting the following:
To me, this is the greatest reward of research. To help others. It makes every moment worthwhile.
I would like to say that I try to respond to as many comments as I can. Please understand that responding to every comment and email I receive would be more than a full-time job. I will do my best to answer as many emails and respond to as many comments as possible.
As with other donation-only supported work, I would like to make a semi-annual appeal for paid subscribers. Currently 2.6% of our subscribers are paid subscribers. I will always keep my word and never put my work behind a paywall. Ideally, if even 6%-8% of subscribers were paid subscribers, it would provide a sustainable platform supporting not only continued COVID research, but also research into my other area of specialty: Obesity.
If you are able to become a paid subscriber, it would be immensely appreciated. Thank you to all who are currently paid subscribers and to all readers in general. You make it possible. I will continue working. I am eternally fascinated with how cells work and the overwhelming majesty of signaling pathways.
Thanks very much Walter Chesnut!!! I upgraded my subscription! Peace. :-)
Walter, thank you for all your hard work! Sometimes it's hard to understand all that you post but I try!!
