Walter, may I suggest you look at D3 as a way to both prevent infection, and to prevent re-infection. I know a few people with high D3 levels (as in 85 to 100 ng/ml), who just don't get sick. I'm one of them. It does really work, and costs pennies per day.

Early on in 2020, there were studies from Spain using D3 as treatment for the ‘spiky flu’ with good results. I decided to use the natural way of getting the VitD so it was out in the sun for me. No illness. Might take extra D3 to overcome shedding.
Yes, mega-dosing d3 with vit k2 during Fall/Winter months really helps as a preventative. Avoiding getting sick in the first place helps give our T-cells bigger muscles!
