Friday Hope: Vitamin K2: Reversing Calcification and Attenuating COVID-19 Severity
Vitamin K2 may prove to be an indispensable therapeutic in treating COVID, NeuroCOVID and Spike Protein pathologies.
As followers of my X account are aware, one of my hypotheses received partial confirmation this week. The partial confirmation is of my hypothesis that SARS-CoV-2 and its Spike Protein induces systemic calcification, what I have referred to as “The Medusa Virus.” It was found that SARS-CoV-2 indeed does induce Fahr’s Syndrome, which is “a rare neurodegenerative condition that clinically presents with varying neurologic, neuropsychiatric, and movement disorder features. FS is characterized by bilateral basal ganglia calcifications secondary to other conditions (e.g., endocrine and metabolic disorders, infectious diseases).”
And this was found in a patient.
This patient’s cognitive difficulties appeared poly-etiological and are likely attributed to the combination of basal ganglia calcification, white matter changes, hypothyroidism, and COVID-19 which suggests the presence of FS. This case exemplifies the importance of considering multiple etiologies, including the implications of COVID-19 during the diagnostic process as more neurologic symptoms of COVID-19 are still being discovered.

Fortunately, there is a natural, plentiful and safe compound which can not only prevent calcification but can also reverse it. This is Vitamin K2. In 2015 a double-blind randomized clinical trial found that this is actually the case.
After three year MK-7 supplementation cfPWV and the Stiffness Index β significantly decreased in the total group, whereas distension, compliance, distensibility, Young’s Modulus, and the local carotid PWV (cPWV) improved in women having a baseline Stiffness Index β above the median of 10.8. MK-7 decreased dp-ucMGP by 50 % compared to placebo, but did not influence the markers for acute phase and endothelial dysfunction. In conclusion, long-term use of MK-7 supplements improves arterial stiffness in healthy postmenopausal women, especially in women having a high arterial stiffness.

There is also ample evidence that Vitamin K2 may be extremely beneficial in dealing with NeuroCOVID, especially with its neuroimflammatory aspects.
VK2 has recently emerged as an essential nutrient for human health, and a growing number of studies have demonstrated that VK2 and vitamin K-dependent proteins (VKDPs) may play an important role in slowing, and even preventing, the progression of AD. VK2 improves neuronal health through a variety of mechanisms: reducing apoptosis induced by β-amyloid (Aβ), limiting oxidative stress, reversing microglial activation, suppressing neuroinflammation, and improving vascular health.

Lastly, it is important to mention that, overall, Vitamin K2 deficiency is independently related to COVID-19 severity. Interestingly, and not surprisingly, this is also tied to a deficiency in our old friend, Vitamin D.
One hundred fifty subjects were included, 100 COVID-19+ and 50 controls. The median age (interquartile range) was 55 (48–63) years, and 50% were females. Thirty-four percent had mild COVID-19 disease, 51% moderate disease, and 15% severe. Dp-ucMGP levels were higher (ie, worse K status) in COVID-19+ vs controls (776.5 ng/mL vs 549.8 ng/mL; P < .0001) with similar 25(OH)D between groups (25.8 vs 21.9 ng/mL; P = .09). Participants who were vitamin D deficient (<20 ng/mL) had the worse vitamin K status (dp-ucMGP >780 ng/mL) and experienced the most severe COVID-19 outcomes. In adjusted models, every 1-unit increase in the log2 dp-ucMGP nearly doubled the odds of acute critical disease or death (AOR, 1.84; 95% CI, 1.01–3.45), and every 1-unit decrease in the natural log 25(OH)D was associated with >3 times the likelihood of severe COVID-19 disease (AOR, 0.29; 95% CI, 0.11–0.67).

The above is a work of medical research, and is not medical advice. As with all medicines and supplements, please check with your Primary Care Provider before using any medicines or supplements.
As I do every week, I will once again thank my supporters. Without you, my work would not be possible. Please have a blessed and beautiful Autumn weekend.
Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox: How a Little-Known Vitamin Could Save Your Life by Kate Rheaume-Bleue tells the whole story about reversing calcification with vitamin K2.
Walter, thank you very much for all of your findings and sharing this information with all of us!
Do you have access to a Scanning Electron Microscope?
I’m asking because I’m reading on another substack about nano bots in the vaccines, swabs and air transmission, entering our bodies and self replicating. It sounds wild and it is hard to imagine/believe. But I’m not sure if we should underestimate the capabilities of the evil forces at work in today’s world. I know you are very busy, maybe if you have a moment, could you see if you notice anything that would go into that nano bot theory direction?
Here is the substack article. Fascinating to read, but is it real???

I trust your judgment more than I would trust that article.
Thank you Walter!
