Great post as always Walter! Perfect timing too with our current company focus on the various benefits of Vitamin K2 from arterial elasticity to mitochondrial function and of course bone health. It’s interesting that the fermented food natto is rich in both Nattokinase to break down fibrin as well as vitamin K2.

"I am also working on my other are of focus: Obesity." When you do, I hope you will address the issue by separating those that are obese by ancestry/genetic selection and those who "eat too much." Several African tribes have used natural selection to become "obese" but are, nevertheless perfectly healthy. Even more, in the geographic region they came from or live in, it had a net survivor benefit.

This is very important information. Most of the benefit from vit K comes from K2 which is found in dairy, fermented foods and animal products. This is a vitamin that is better gotten from food than a supplement.

The intention is to remove dairy and meat from our diets in the guise of saving the planet. The consequences will be disastrous for health. The plains of America had millions of bison roaming freely, so the argument of too many cattle on earth does not hold up. Likewise in Canada with the elk and moose, and in Africa with the elephants, giraffes, etc. Their logic is completely backwards and wrong.

Be careful with vitamin K if you're taking prescription blood thinners. At least that's what I've read.

Do you know anything about dark field microscopy? They are finding things in unvaccx blood too , in supplements, insulin, dental analgesics, etc.

I would also like to know more. It seems so scary as to be unreal, but as we have all learned these last number of years, just because it’s a conspiracy doesn’t mean it’s not true.

Vitamin K1

Vitamin D w/

K2 mk4/mk7?

I take a supplement with the latter in combination.

There's no mention of dosing- I read somewhere that it's supposedly 100mg for every 1000 of Vitamin D?

Same to you also, to have a blessed weekend. Perhaps a couple of pics of your famous food combos?

I'm always amazed when people who recommend vitamin D3 don't talk about the importance of K2 as well. This is a great post. I've also found that putting vitamin D3 supplements directly under the tongue can help a great deal in how well they get absorbed. https://mattcook.substack.com/p/men-taking-vitamin-d-are-still-too especially for stubborn cases.

Excellent follow-up to the Calcium issue. Unfortunately, with the tunnel-vision of the market, we have been guided towards a pill form diet. Perhaps rephrase the natural diet into something science based. It seems the medical “authorities” kept branding the natural diet community as anti-science, specifically because of the religious foundation that guides people towards a natural diet. It seems ripe for a battle at the Federal level between Health and Human Services and the department of Agriculture!

Nanomedical studies of the restoration of nitric oxide/peroxynitrite balance in dysfunctional endothelium by 1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D3 - clinical implications for cardiovascular diseases

Alamzeb Khan et al. Int J Nanomedicine. 2018.

Wonder how vitamin K factors into these findings when clearly vitamin K was not manipulated, considered or relevant. VitK may be OK but the evidence that it is necessary and sufficient for the cardiovascular benefits of vitD are lacking. Getting enough vitK through diet, not necessarily supplements, may be a safe rather than sorry approach to take pending addl research. VitK is involved in fibrinogen formation (blood clotting) so vitK could be tightly regulated via diet and fooling with mother nature could be hazardous. Just food for thought.
