I have an herb garden that has several different types of catmint. They are lovely plants that come back every year and they bring in the pollinators to my gardens with their lovely little flowers along with some feral cats that bask in the catmint and love nibbling on the plants. Thank you for this article.

wonder if other forms of mint would be also effective.... spearmint peppermint are pretty easy to buy.. don't think catmint is

Have you looked into Cat's Claw? Years ago a friend took it during radiation treatments for breast cancer. Her skin was not harmed by the radiation and her radiologist asked what she was doing/taking. https://www.wubmed.org/blog/cats-claw-useful-properties-side-effects-and-dosage/

I grow and harvest cat mint. Used it to treat my cats when they where sick. Many herbal cough drops have these kinds of ingredients. I've been using Olbas and Ricola cough drops thru all of covid. They are tasty and work great. Soothing : ). Teas too.

I wonder how similar this plant is to Nepeta spp. of catmint, which is what you generally find in the U.S. (warning: it's an aggressive plant - if you plant one, it will be everywhere in your yard before you know it.)
