Excellent information! "Spirulina needs to be investigated further"... I shall begin today.

Spirulina is awesome! It's a cheap and easy way to get your greens : ) Helps everything too. My go to and a staple. Been using it for years.

What form do you take it? Pills? I see some on Amazon.

Just as a supplement capsule - very inexpensive. Just get a good brand that's got a 3rd party certified label to avoid heavy contamination.( It's often in expensive protien drinks too).

Great-thanks!

Thank you so much, Dr. Chesnut. So much. I believe the technology evidenced in Covid infection and vaccine is omnipresent...air, water, food, other medical compounds/preparations (like dental anesthetics). I've always gravitated toward natural treatments. Now natural treatments become de rigueur as we face a world hostile to our bodies and natural immune function. We must prevail. Our species must prevail. Having simple remedies as a standard protocol for the average person is exactly the kind of information we need today.❤️

Does Chlorella offer any such benefits?

Expand full comment

I should add, Chlorella is a binder of toxic heavy metals. In order to detox mercury (which I did) I followed a protocol by Dietrich Klinghardt MD, PhD. I used alcohol tincture of cilantro as a mobilizer, and chlorella as a binder. If one uses only a mobilizer it will spread the toxin all over the body (dangerous). The binder binds it and carries it to the liver and out the bile ducts. I did this for two years.

Didn’t know that. Thanks!

Alec can you use Milk thistle/ silymarin?

Expand full comment

I don't know. I simply followed Klinghardt's protocol. It works. The tincture of cilantro crosses the blood-brain barrier and gets toxic metals out of the brain. The chlorella binds and carries it out of the body.

Here is the Klinghardt protocol:

This is somewhat revised from an older version. I did not drink the cilantro alcohol tincture. If you rub it on bottom of wrists and ankles it is absorbed into the blood.

Awesome 😎 thank u Alec …

Yes Bridget ! 😊

Be cautious. It has health benefits, but it will put a cork in your rear end (constipation). A couple of the links provided give information about Chlorella.

I started mixing a little spirulina in with a little raw honey each day. It seems like such a great addition to the diet. This is great information about how it helps with the spike protein!

This is so cool.

I used to have a spirulina colony in a fish tank. It's stupid easy to grow and you can grow it with piss, salt and rust.

Ahh .. but where and from whom to buy this LED spirulina from??

I started taking spirulina (lowish dose) three years ago based on this paper: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0033062020300372

If I were to get sick, I'd kick up the dose to what they recommend in the paper.

Thank you Walter for all the research you have done into the mechanisms of the spike, but now especially for possible treatments. Since more than 90% have antibodies, I think that's how many of us should be taking treatments.

Has anyone tried Brazilin? It’s a red dye that comes from a tree in Brazil and Asia. It sounds like methylene blue on steroids. Really impressive. It might do wonders for long Covid. I’ve only found 3 places that carry it though, and it’s kind of spendy.

Ahh me, another spirulina thought jumble. So many people go around quoting and requoting data and papers that have been largely extrapolated in piece form to fit narratives that range from genuine health to profit margins.

Take a breath about the info you take in.

The spirulina of the Aztecs or the herders on the African plain and the commercially dried powder you buy in bulk or pill form are two different products.

The powder form is classified as a supplement and is a modern day invention. Most of the quoted studies you will find did not use a powder/dessicated supplement. To be labeled a supplement, it is considered processed.

The studies look at spirulina as a non processed food.

The ancients would often dry the spirulina to a jerky consistency from the post harvest paste form. Fresh spirulina is the texture of Greek yogurt, it has no detectable smell or taste. This fresh food product has live active enzymes with all of its nutrients in their native colloidal scope.

The dried product may have many positive attributes that marketers bark about but there is so much not being said. One of those is the mycotoxin load in the powder, which is the fishy smell you may notice. That is decomposition. If you do some research from some of the sellers, you will find a maximum recommended dose of 5-6 mg tops! This is where the negatives outweigh the positives. Often times, you will experience gas or bloat.

The fresh spirulina can be consumed by the pound with no side effects.

Don't let them pee on your leg and tell you it's raining.

I have been using spirulina off and on for the easy protein and and blood support.. I got covid Jan of 2022 I think. Anyway as far as the long term affects of covid which seem to be a many, one of them being cucumber issues. I hope the spirulina can help. I will be more consistent with daily consumption.

Thanks for the links.

And refreshing at the same time.

According to that one study... any kind of spirulina OTC is the right one?

According to the paper by Tzachor et al., linked in the article, only chlorella grown under LED light has this powerful anti-inflammatory effect. Solar chlorella does not.

what? That's weird as funk. Then it might be some stress related metabolyte produced by the cyanobacteria.
