Had no idea pumpkin seed oil was so rich in squalene, I only knew of squalene derived from shark liver oil and had read quite some time ago of its potential as a cancer preventative. Learning about squalene's beneficial properties vis a vis mitochondrial function was another huge revelation to me, as was its evident ability to block NFkB. Friday Hope is a great title for these end of week posts Walter, thanks so much as always.

Thank-you, Walter...Such a find. Making our own Beauty and Cleaning Products and this one hold quite a lot of promise. Gee, now we know what to do with all those Pumpkin Seeds beyond Roasting. There's ALWAYS far too many to roast.

Need to find-out how to 'Cold Press'; as for Olives or what?

Have you tried coconut oil? I have used coconut oil, either alone, or primarily, for a long time on my face. In fact I use coconut oil for everything, including 2 Tbsp in my daily smoothie, and oil swishing. I go through one of the large Maker's Mark jugs of cold pressed coconut oil, in a month, or less. I am 77, and no one ever believes me.

Yes, we use Coconut Oil, Jojoba and all the usual oils. Always seeking better products and alternatives. Glad to hear Coconut Oil has been so kind to you...I like it as well in my Chia Seed Pudding every morning. It's a wonderful, healthy fat.

I put both the coconut oil and the chia seed in my morning smoothie, along with a lot of other stuff.

May I ask for your pudding recipe?

Sure...Pretty Simple.

1/2 Cup of liquid; I use water and a scoop of protein powder w/Collagen

1 Tbsp of Coconut Oil, melted

3 or 4 Tbsp of Chia Seeds

1 Tsp Bakers Unsweetened Cocao

1 Tsp Honey or to Taste

Mix well using a spoon. Allow to sit for a few minutes. Stir vigorously again to separate the seeds as it will clump together if not stirred the second time. Place lid on Pudding overnight in the Fridge. WONDERFUL. Less than 150 Calories and provides twice the protein of a usual breakfast with eggs, bacon and one piece of toast. Has all the fiber necessary for a whole day.

Fabulous! Thanks much!

I was fascinated by your mention of recipes for self-care. Seminal!

A few years ago I was determined to develop the optimal recipe for a hair conditioner/moisturizer. Fun! Then I cut my hair and don’t need it as I did—but the results were encouraging.

Do you have a favorite website/recipe/book? Just developing one recipe took me months...but it was great fun for me AND my hair;)

I shall thank you as I enjoy my breakfast pudding:D.

Surfactants and Emulsifiers are used to keep water and oil together in creams and lotions; as you're aware. When I began I placed the "Hand Cream' with major ingrediants in the Search Engine; as Coconut Cream and Olive Oil. The first Cream made was a medication capable of absorbtion transdermally. Since using food items; it was biological and required a preservative which for me is Aspen Oil; only a few drops.

For your Creams, Lotions, Shampoo's and Conditioners...I'd advise going Online and begin with the primary products you wish to use because not all work the same.

Always remember to purchase Deionized Water Medical Grade for all products.

Walter, "dummy-me here". Mercola did an article on squalene maybe two years ago. I bought some. Then within a week, Dr. TenPenny went on what seemed to me to be a rampage against what she called MF-59 (with main ingredient squalene), but also polysorbate 80, Tween (??), etc. She blasted squalene, unless I am mistaken (very possible). Her complaint was disgusting chemicals in products:

https://drtenpenny.substack.com/p/disgusting-chemicals-in-vaccines.

Walter, TenPenny went off on squalene so strongly, I am permanently stunned. So I have squalene but don't take it. I also don't want to try to read all the research because I am a dummy. If you can clarify what the problem may be, please do. She did mention oils and rancidity; but it was not clear to me that this was her concern. Thanks in advance. I don't need to know that squalene is good. I need to know how it could become bad. Thanks

Eating something vs injecting it could be very different. I beginning to believe we should not really be injecting anything into our bodies.

I've heard of squalene before and not in a good way... can't remember why or where. Probably in regards to being a harmful ingredient in shots.

You might be thinking about this 20 + yo interview with Dr. Rima Laibow, where she accurately describes the Covid vaxx culling. Squalene was the term she used.

Costco sells 22 ounce (allegedly) organic and sprouted pumpkin seeds for around $9 a bag. The maker is GoRaw and they’re very tasty, FYI.

.....Walter, you are actually the FIRST person I've encountered suggesting squalene has BENEFICIAL value; was informed by someone in Fairfield County CT (probably linked to Yale Medical Center, experiments with CHILDREN whose parents refused FURTHER participation - AND possibly an INFAMOUS incident to the northwest of there) online with whom I could never reconnect, at least 2 decades past following his death 23 years ago this July 8th that my brother's FDA-administered (at Cedars-Sinai-Los Angeles) trial [brain] cancer vaccine (ALSO among what I believe to be the EARLIEST recipients of ol SPIKEY; gp120 - because when ENSCONCED in an anthrax shell, COULD breach the B-B barrier and affect OTHERWISE-unreachable tumors) contained it; described by those talking about the Novovax injection as a particularly-IRRITATING adjuvant with saponic (soaplike) qualities.....

Squalene was used as a vaccine adjuvant. I remember reading some substack (Midwestern doctor?) speculating that it was the source of the gulf war syndrome, when used in anthrax vaccines.

As much as i would love to believe this study and i love pumpkin seeds, the fact that half the controls got readmitted tells me something is wrong with the data.

Such an informative article. Australians might like to know that pumpkin seed are grown in Victoria and pumpkin seed oil produced along with pepitas, so no need to buy imported seed which are irradiated. Thanks.

Life is neither good nor evil; positive nor negative; beneficial nor malignant; etc. The way in which anything is used in life determines the outcome. We each must take what Walter's research shows us and know ourselves. Know thyself. What is your body dictating? How does your body respond? In what environment are you taking any one supplement? How does that supplement synergistically interact with others? Not just in a single dose but over a 24-48 hr. period? Few people realize that prescriptions are usually for one person only. We obtain similar results to others, but we seldomly see the overall effect or outcome.

radar. Walter, "dummy me, again". I re-read TenPenny's article from the link I provided you. Her discussion on squalene begins on the third page. So, whether she ranted or not, "I was over there (Desert Storm)." I got the anthrax and smallpox shots, along with 21 other shots, all of them shoved into six needles, then into shoulders and hips within one hour." A MIDWEST DOCTOR refers to the anthrax and smallpox and two of the top 3 worst ever shots, along with the Gardasil shot (maybe being the worst of the three because of the age of girls who have taken it; and the many harmful outcomes.). I just don't understand what the issue is with squalene, when the body makes it and foods I eat have it. I'm suspecting its the dose. TenPenny didn't seem happy about it at all, but I know she hated the other ingredients. Agghhh!

Consider that injecting it vs eating it could be very different. Your gut will deal with it if you eat it vs possibly going into your blood stream. I'm not a scientist so don't listen to me tho ;)
