"Indeed, if all the hours spent toiling over new drug creation was spent examining combinations of nutraceuticals for disease treatment, one can only imagine what might now be curable." Best line ever. It should be engraved in stone at the entrance to the CDC and the FDA.

Medicinal Plants to Strengthen Immunity during a Pandemic

Amur maackia (Maackia amurensis Rupr. (Leguminosae)) is common in Korea, Japan, Northeastern China and Eastern Russia. The trunk bark of this tree has traditionally been used for the treatment of cancer, cholecystitis, arthritis and hyperthyroidism, as well as for hepatoprotection [102,103]. The chemical composition of M. amurensis has been determined with identified isoflavonoids, polyphenol and isoflavone glycosides, prenylated flavonoids [104,105,106]. Flavonoids are known for their antioxidant and antiviral activity [107], which allows this plant to be included in the group of plant prevention agents during the coronavirus pandemic.

These test tube studies are interesting but I'm not sure how helpful. I can pour bleach in test tubes and see great effects but we're not going to be using that.

Here, it appears this binds the SP floating around (current infection?) but will it rip it off locations where it is settled in? Another question - these SP bind to cells but how long do they stay there in the normal process. Doesn't the cell naturally deal with these things by breaking them down and evicting them over time?

Also... this does not appear to be easily available for purchase.

Just wanted to mention that this tree grows beautifully here in Vermont. We've had one flourishing in our garden for decades.
