Kumquats. I had a kumquat tree once. They are very easy to grow as I remember and cold hardy. It produced a lot of fruit. I think I'll grow another.

Thank you for all this. Now I know why God made kumquats at least in part.

baked white fish (rock fish, halibut, cod,etc) with olive oil, kumquats cut in half, chopped garlic, salt & pepper is mighty delicious. Also avocado toast with sliced kumquats. You can also make a really tasty marmalade with them.

I read that Eriodictyol is the main flavoring component in limes.

Our local store brings in multiple varieties of kumquats. I eat them like crazy when they are available. I pop them in my mouth throughout the day; sometimes I eat the seeds.

There are very sour varieties as well as pleasantly sweet. My Son thinks they are all too sour.

Kumquat decoction consists of six edible TCMs, each of which has been widely used to for viral infections such as the common cold, fever, and influenza (Gao, 2015; Yu et al., 2018; Zhang et al., 2020, 2022).

Kumquat is only one part of a TCM strategy
