Thanks for sharing, never heard of it! "Jun" means "dear/beloved" in Farsi, and Arjuna is a figure in Hindu mythology and is also the name of an herb that is an ancient remedy for heart health:
Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) is one of Ayurveda's quintessential herbs for the heart. Along with strengthening and toning the physical muscle of the heart, this rose-colored tree bark is also known to nourish and uplift the energetic and emotional aspects of the heart, bolstering an inner sense of courage, resiliency, and love.
Arjuna is best known as one of the foremost Ayurvedic herbs for supporting all areas of heart health. Here are a few of arjuna's remarkable benefits when it comes to promoting cardiovascular wellness:
Strong heart function and healthy circulation. Arjuna strengthens and tones the circulatory system, rejuvenates the soft tissues, and promotes proper function of the heart muscle.
Healthy flow of blood. Arjuna's properties support the maintenance of healthy cholesterol levels already within the normal range, balanced blood pressure, and proper coagulation in the blood.
Emotional wellness. Arjuna has also been traditionally used to support the emotional heart, promoting balance for those experiencing grief and sadness. It is said to give courage, strengthen the will, and fortify the heart to accomplish our goals. Furthermore, arjuna has been said to act energetically on the heart chakra, increasing prema bhakti (love and devotion).
Arjuna’s traditional uses and noted benefits extend beyond heart health alone, providing the following areas of support throughout the body:
Balanced lungs. With its affinity for the chest, arjuna can balance excess kapha and pitta in the lungs for clear, calm breathing.
Healthy liver and skin. Arjuna helps reduce excess pitta in the liver and skin, supporting proper liver function and a healthy, clear complexion.
Comfortable digestion. When taken as a tea, arjuna has been used to support healthy digestion.
Healthy reproductive tissues. Arjuna’s astringency can support healthy and balanced reproductive tissue, known in
Sadly drinking tea caused my arthritis, ADD and other issues, however I found out soon enough to stop the damage to my joints preventing me from having a normal life. The problem is probably not the actual tea itself, but the extensive dead insect matter in the tea that was not removed prior to processing. I spent most of my life drinking a nice cup of tea, top brands, and it was only after an extensive elimination diet that I discovered by accident that it was the tea all along. So be very careful what you buy.
I buy Organic tea without the “bags” l drink it without milk just a squeeze of Organic Lemon or Lime .. BEWARE too that MOST non-organic tea bags contain FLUORIDE now! Yep, they haven’t missed a thing!
Isn't it just? Took me 6 years of highly restrictive diets to figure it out. But now I'm hiking up mountains at 52 years old with no joint pain and the only difference is no tea, but if I add the tea back in then the arthritus comes back.
Walter thanks for all the work you are doing g for humanity.
But, the fermented teas are lower in polyphenol than the non-fermented cousins.
If you would like a great tea, a tea steeped in history and known for its health giving benefits try Long Jin, West Lake Dragon.
Support the small farmers growing tea thru organic methods rather than the huge commercially grown varieties. This allows those small farmers to make a living by producing great, healthy teas full of polyphenols.
Be sure it is organic tea or the pesticides are steeped in the brewed tea. My hubby was part of a bone marrow transplant research study in the 1990's and had 10% chance of living more than 90 days. We got 7 years with 3 transplants, 11 rounds of chemo, full body & monoclonal radiation and no organ damage... he was dubbed the Miracle Man by our Fred HUTCH team.
We used lots of nutritional and vitamin boosters and protections and green tea as a detoxifier and our study team who had zero nutrition education were skeptical but supportive of our nutritional approach to healing and astounded by regular novel results. Imagine nature knows better than pharma what is needed to be healthy!!
Dear Walter. You are a saviour. You save lives. Do you know that? Thank you for your incredible work. We catch it, because treatment outside the influence of Pharma is needed Hugs from a collegue in Denmark.
It seems like polyphenols, in general, are useful: Luteolin, Apigenin, Resveratrol, EGCG, Curcumin, etc...
Plants are our angels and produce so many beneficial compounds.
Yes indeed.
Don't forget EGCG needs an acidic environment for proper absorption.
Tea and lemon? Yum.
I wonder if jun is a really good option then? Jun is essentially green tea kombucha.

Nope. The milk proteins "get in the way"

Same here with arthritis. Drank tea every day. Eliminated about 3 months ago and my wrist/hand joints are so much better.
Amazing. I found that instant coffee, alcohol, tomatoes, all had a minor effect, but tea was the main one.
Makes sense they would after reading about oxylates. (I think that's the spelling).
really interesting recent Mercola podcast on oxylates!
That's frankly unbelievable.

Please find that coffee does the same because I don’t love green tea 😁
unless you pay ... than 2+2=5 :-)
And World Council for Health notes that lemon added to green tea makes its benefits much more bioavailable: https://worldcouncilforhealth.org/resources/food-synergy-combinations/

Cheers to the ☕️ tea together!!
Radio host Michael Savage mentioned this about EGCG in January 2020. He also pointed out HIV was being inserted into the so-called “vaccine.”
I really love him and appreciate his intellect.
Can EGCG also cause liver issues, I've seen someone posting studies on this.

[so... This is why pricey green tea is touted as super good...]
'In terms of type, green tea has almost twice the total tannin content of black tea

and as such
may be important allies in the prevention of many of the chronic diseases
linked to unchecked free radical activity. ' --Ocean Robbins,
