Confirmation of My 2021 Hypothesis that SARS-CoV-2 and the Spike Protein Accelerates Aging
The process, if reversed, appears to prevent death. This may be a key in treatment of Long COVID/Spike Protein injury/disease.
Epigenetic age acceleration in survived vs deceased COVID-19 patients at the end of follow up (FU) timepoint.
Boxplots of DNAm age acceleration in six epigenetic clocks (a-f) in the peripheral blood from 50 surviving vs 14 deceased COVID-19 patients at the end of follow-up. The y-axis denotes the epigenetic age acceleration. P-value is shown above the corresponding line. In the box plots, the lower and upper hinges indicate the 25th and 75th percentiles and the black line within the box represents the median. Ns: non-significant
A paper published in pre-print today has confirmed my hypothesis from 2021 that SARS-CoV-2 and its Spike Protein accelerate aging.
Followers of my research may recall that I coauthored a paper with Luc Montagnier, et al. in the summer of 2021 hypothesizing that SARS-CoV-2 and its Spike Protein were accelerating the biological age of those infected/exposed.

My contribution to the article was based upon research I had conducted earlier in the year.
Just as the data points show in the study published today, I foresaw that the acceleration would be in a clinical subset (i.e., not everyone). For many, this is reassuring.

I was also able to determine a possible explanation for Telomere loss, as the current paper offers no explanation.

I also summarized the Spike Protein’s abilities to accelerate aging later in 2021:
HALLMARKS OF AGING AND THE SPIKE

This also fits in with the current paper, as those who died had immense acceleration of Telomere loss during the study.
However, we detected a significant DNAmTL attrition in the deceased COVID-19 patients at end-of-follow-up (p= 0.0015) indicating a measurable reduction in telomere length in these individuals.
The most encouraging data to come out of the study was that if the process was reversed during the course of infection, the patients did not die.
Furthermore, we could observe that reversing the epigenetic age acceleration (i.e. epigenetic deceleration) measured by the Horvath, Hannum, and PhenoAge clock is associated with recovery in severe COVID-19 patients following hospitalization. In contrast, patients who died after ICU admission did not show any differences in epigenetic aging at inclusion to the last recorded DNAm age before death.

I will now focus on therapeutics to control and ameliorate deleterious epigenetic changes. Please review my Friday Hope series, as many of theses posts contain therapeutics which accomplish this.
Thank you for your continued support.
Good work, Walter.
What a horror the spike protein is.
Walter! Your exquisite analogy of the Titan disaster and the Spike fiasco gave us a clear glimpse into your thought process, and how you’ve been so on point for so long here. Here it is : you are wildly focused on the intra and inter cellular impacts of this Spike, and your ability to retain and apply multitudes of varied, seemingly unrelated studies to --what’s turning out to be-- a strong initial hypothesis, has enabled you to be way ahead of the pack. I mean, you showed us the applicability of the Titan disaster (hubris) to the creation of the spike..... two wholly unrelated occurrences, yet so similar in their genesis: defects in human egos.
Tell me I’m not right!
