Salt enhances all things Spike. Reducing sodium intake during acute COVID, Long COVID and Spike Protein Disease/Injury may accelerate the path towards healing.
Reducing sodium? It's another lie we have been told over and over. I don't buy it. Dehydration shrivels all tissues. Sodium helps the body retain water so we don't become human jerky while alive.
Another piece in my personal puzzle. My cousin (last direct family member older than me) was in independent living. When the Covid shots came out she was fully jabbed and boosted until her death near the end of 2022. The facility she lived in had very low sodium in their foods. She went into cognitive decline shortly after her 1st shot. She already suffered from osteoporosis. She began to lose weight after the shot, Did not eat much. Had a fall in 2021 after passing out and hospitalized before she recovered consciousness. She was diagnosed with Hyponatremia (very low sodium levels in the blood). She was put in skilled care where the meals didn't see a salt shaker.
We tried to make sure she was getting more food that she likes to help her gain weight and some more salt in her diet. We even brought he salty snack crackers which said she liked but forgot to eat. Meanwhile they kept up the Covid injection series so she wouldn't get Covid. Well she had a second fall and fractured a vertebrae. Was hospitalized and because she would not be able to withstand a surgery, released with pain meds which was difficult to balance so she wasn't just out of it. So their answer was a Fentanyl patch. She died before the patches arrived. Listed cause of death = Hyponatremia. In her case, she never had Covid, just the injections. The low sodium diet was too severe. Adverse effects from the shots was a contributing factor particularly to her rapid cognitive decline.
In general, as my comments reflect, I have the utmost respect for WMC Research. However, for those of us who MUST be on a low-carbohydrate diet in order to keep our HbA1c at a healthful level, WMC has omitted, in this post of July 25, 2025, the critical concerns regarding limitation of sodium in our diets.
These have been perhaps best-expressed by Volek and Phinney. For example, see their book, The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living, 2011, p. 240:
"When the human body adapts to a low carb diet, the kidneys fundamentally change how they handle sodium. Removing most carbs from the diet causes your kidneys to aggressively secrete sodium.....But this means that a continuous moderate intake of sodium is necessary to keep your circulation adequate to handle 'heat stress' like hot weather, endurance activity, or even a hot shower...."
Continuous moderate intake needs to be kept in mind by those of us who must keep to a low-carb diet. ( This may vary depending on ambient temperature, exercise, etc..)
Thank you Walter. I find that sea salt, with it's abundance of minerals, to be an excellent addition to my diet. ( I read "Salt Your Way To Health", by David Brownstein ). Obviously, all salts are not the same. I never use "table salt". I take your salt advice in context; with spike injury and long covid, it is excellent advice. Kevin McKernan continues to educate the world on the dangers of the spike & shot contamination:
I read both Walter's article and the comments. I believe a rather sick patient might have low salt levels. Whereas the mechanism that a high-salt environment furthers the spike's capacities for damage, a healthy individual may have natural pathways which not only protect against the spike but also prohibit the spike from using a salt-enriched environment. Indeed, I suspect that a healthy individual's level of salt combats the spike.
When an individual is sick, the body is seeking balance. One of the worst proscriptions I've determined in my old age is to place emphasis inordinately on one aspect of ill health. The body needs all support including a healthy sodium balance within ill health. To deprive the body of an element causes further imbalance. That imbalance becomes a degenerating cascade of ill health.
People should feel/listen to their bodies while sick. Our bodies are extraordinarily smart. Many may naturally desire less salt. After health begins rebuilding, salt may be required. People must begin learning how to tune into their bodies in a serious fashion.

This is simply wrong. High sodium concentration is a reflection of a water deficit, not an excess of sodium.
Back to the drawing board!
😎
And, most people are salt deficient and shouldn’t restrict intake.

His goal is to eliminate the current fraudulent publication system.
May God bless you and continue to guide you. Peace.

during my "covid"/"spike" phases I always craved very little salt and lower carb.
During my intermediate 1.5 year phase of being healthy, I craved more (a healthy amount) of carbs and some salt.
Ca++ affects RBD yes, but NaCl ? It's something new I read!
And eliminate sugar too when sick.
Eliminate sugar full stop :)
Even the Coke that will now be made with cane sugar instead of hi fructose corn syrup? (insert evil grin here).
Thanks RFK, truly the issue of our times
